Anyway, since I'm so damn chuffed to have my paws on this chic-y deaky piece of equipment, I thought I'd better give it a quick review!
You've probably all seen this beautiful thing before, so I will only give you a quick rundown of it's contents before I get into my thoughts/feelings/emotional confessions.
Once you open this white-and-gold dreamboat, you are met with your crying reflection in the huge (and incredibly high quality) mirror. Usually I find mirrors to be a travel hazard when it comes to palettes, but this is one you could actually use to apply your makeup, so I'll very much allow it.
Adjacent to your - now ugly crying - reflection, you'll find three blushes and two highlights. The latter consist of Jaclyn's first born, Champagne Pop (a warm, peachy-gold) and her new arrival, Prosecco Pop (true medium gold). Both colours are insanely pigmented and beautiful, though I definitely prefer Champagne Pop on my skin tone, which I'd consider light and pink-toned. Prosecco will be featured on bronzier days, and in many an eye look, however!
Blush-wise, we are working with Rose Spritz (metallic pink), Pamplemousse (mid-dark pink), and Amaretto (rosy brown - aka my favourite item from the entire palette). Rose Spritz is considered a luminous blush, while the others are mineral blushes - a very popular Becca product. I personally prefer the minerals, but that's just me and my heavily textured face. Speaking of my mug, here's a little pic of me donning CP and Amaretto!
Overall, I think this nifty little beauty is a great palette with muchos versatility. The beauty of Becca products is that they're incredibly easy to sheer down or build up. On subtle days you can reach for Champagne Pop and Amaretto, using a light hand to apply them to your lovely face; on days where you're #feelingit, pop some Rose Spritz over your fave blush and go in with a mix of both highlighters. Moreover, Pamplemousse and Prosecco Pop are both shades which will look beautiful on darker skin tones - obviously a five-pan palette is unlikely to suit every skin type, but beauty inclusivity is so important, so it's lovely to see such shades in here!
Really, my only gripe is with the typography and spacing of the palette, but that's just personal preference.
What are your thoughts? Let me know!
Enjoy!
Sophia ♡
